Bad words technique:
This is the simple technique that is used to hide the original spam words to appear on the website. In this technique you can define a rule to replace the bad words with your desired words or signs. For example, if someone uses offensive word, you can define a rule to censor those words with "............." or "xxxxxxx" lines etc.
Spam filter technique:
This technique is mostly used to hide the posting of users who use spam words. In this technique a maximum number of words is defined. If those number of words exceeds, that post becomes inactive and most of the time, it requires admin or site moderators approval.
Block email technique:
Most of the time, spammers try to over rule the spam filter technique by putting some additional characters along with the words. For example, if a spammer wants to advertise laptop for sale ads on any classified site like buynow.com. he/she can use **laptop for sale** or (*)laptop for sale(*). In this way, they try to override the spam filter. To prevent this technique, you can define a block email technique. In this technique, you can define a list of email addresses and can block the listed address to post at your site.
